Important

Reminder that when you say on a PR "spoke to", you speak the words, and spelling doesn't come into it.

Friendly OOC reminder :)

 As you have played PolUK before you should well know that there is no excuse for bad spelling. Also Press Releases are by definition a written transcript of a speech.

Seriously, using word is a good idea. It allows you to spell check it, and you can save a copy in case you lose it. Just friendly advice.

I have a spell checker built into my browser :P

I want to also remind people that if you can't read out the sentences without taking pauses for breath then your character probably couldn't read it either.

It's been used once in Scotland. As much as I would like it to be, Scotland is hardly world renowned for it's political slogans.

You fail:

""It's Time" is arguably the most famous political slogan in Australian political history.

The slogan encapsulated the political mood of 1972, even amongst non-Labor supporters. "It's time for a change" seemed to be the prevailing mood after 23 years of coalition government which began in 1949 under Robert Menzies." 1972?

"The conference is taglined "Conservatives: it's time for change", a typically obtuse political slogan." October 2007 (after the SNP and proving it's cliché status)

The Tories nicked the conference slogan from the SNP.

I admitted that!

What about the Australian Labour party from thirty years ago? Did they nick it from the SNP?

Three Aussie guys were working on a high-rise building project - Steve, Bruce and Kevin.

Steve falls off and is killed instantly.

As the ambulance takes the body away, Bruce says, "Someone should go and tell his wife."

Kevin says, "OK, I'm pretty good at that sensitive stuff, I'll do it."

Two hours later, he comes back carrying a case of Fosters.

Bruce says, "Where did you get that, Kev?"

"Steve's wife gave it to me,"

Bruce replies. "That's unbelievable, you told the lady her husband was dead and she gave you the beer?"

"Well not exactly," Kevin said. "When she answered the door, I said to her, 'You must be Steve's widow'.

She said, 'No, I'm not a widow.'

And I said, 'I'll bet you a case of Fosters you are'."
